Virtue in Suffering

"If you suffer for doing good, and endure it, this is commendable before God." 1 Peter 2:20

Why do we have to suffer we ask? Better to ask why our lives aren't full of constant suffering. I would argue that is what we deserve for choosing to disobey God.

While I can't explain fully why we suffer it is good to know the God who made us has suffered. In fact He suffered beyond anything we will ever experience. That means we have a high priest we can call out to who feels our pain.

Not only does He feel our pain, but He is able to help us through it. We can go boldly to the throne of grace knowing Jesus hears us and knows the full depth of our pain. Relief will come.

That is good news!
